About Us

On behalf of all the pilot-owners of Sky Manor Airport, welcome to the “Best Little Airport in the East.” Whether your visit here today brings you from across the country or from next door, we hope you will enjoy everything that Sky Manor Airport has to offer.

Sky Manor Airport was originally founded in the 1940s. It has a rich heritage and remains a vital part of the transportation infrastructure here in New Jersey. In November 2008, Sky Manor Airport was acquired by the people who knew it best – its pilots. We have made many improvements and look forward to many more.

Our goal is to serve the aviation community as well as the non-flying public to the best of our ability. It’s not by mistake that we foster and maintain a friendly, country club atmosphere. Please contact us at any time with questions, suggestions, or concerns. A Suggestion Box is located in Sky Cafe’s vestibule. You may also reach us by telephone at 908-996-4200 or by emailing us at n40questions@skymanorairport.com.

Our History

Founded in the 1940s, Sky Manor Airport is home to several aviation-related businesses, and about 110 aircraft. Sky Manor Airport is one of only 43 pubic-use airports remaining in New Jersey. It has a 2,900-foot paved runway that is equipped for day and night operations. The airport is used for business, recreation, training, and public safety aviation activities.

Sky Manor Airport always offers some of the least expensive fuel in the area. Once your plane's belly is full, why not do the same for your own and take advantage of one of the best airport burgers around at the Sky Cafe.

In need aircraft maintenance? We have one of the best. Please see Adventures Aviation for all of your aircraft repair needs. Whether you need an oil change or an annual inspection, they are there to help.

Now for a special occasion, or simply to transform an average day into a special occasion, Balloons Aloft can make it happen.

As we all know, our pilot numbers are dwindling and aging. Let's help reverse that trend by encouraging people we know to take that very special first flight. And what better place to take it than at Sky Beckons Aviation flight school, run by Tom Kramer or Sky River Helicopters. Whether it is for a first flight, a scenic fall ride, or a complete instrument-training program, our fixed and rotary-wing flight schools can make it happen.

Lastly, remember, that it's the people that make the difference. The folks that run these businesses along with those that manage the airport, are committed to friendly and fair service while maintaining a country club atmosphere that has allowed Sky Manor Airport to be known as “The Best Little Airport in the East.”
